Size and apartment life
Most adult Maltipoos weigh between 3 and 6 kg, which suits apartment living in Valletta, Sliema or St. Julian's. They still need daily walks, play and company.
Coat and grooming
The wavy to curly coat sheds very little but needs brushing several times a week and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks. Our grooming salon can show you the routine before handover.
Temperament
Sociable, people-oriented and quick to learn. Maltipoos dislike being left alone for long days, so plan who will be at home or arrange company.
Maltese climate
Mild winters suit them well; in summer keep walks to early morning and evening, provide shade and fresh water, and keep the coat trimmed but not shaved.

Health screening
Parents are health checked and every puppy has a pre-departure veterinary examination, complete age-appropriate vaccinations and an official health booklet.

Delivery from Italy to Malta
Malta is an EU member state, so no extra-EU customs procedure applies. EU rules on the non-commercial movement of pet animals cover the journey.

Issued by an official veterinarian, listing identification, owner, vaccinations and treatments, as required by EU Regulation 576/2013.
ISO 11784/11785 microchip
Fitted before the rabies vaccination and readable with standard European scanners.
Valid rabies vaccination
Given after 12 weeks of age and at least 21 days before travel, so a puppy can fly from around 15 weeks.
Flight to Malta International Airport (MLA)
Direct or connecting flights from Italian airports to Luqa, about 8 km from Valletta. Puppies travel in the cabin with our staff, never in the hold as cargo.
Requirements follow EU Regulation 576/2013. We confirm the airline's current rules at the time of booking and put the agreed arrangements in writing.
